RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma and Stroke Coordinator 
 
Position Status: .2 fte - (16 hours a pay-period)
Department: Emergency Department
Salary Range: $36.73 - $51.43 / per hour (based on experience)

 

 

The Trauma Program Manager is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and leadership of the hospital’s Level 4 Trauma Program. This role ensures compliance with Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) trauma designation criteria, oversees performance improvement activities, and serves as the primary liaison between hospital departments, MDH, and regional trauma committees.

 

This is a reduced part-time position that also encompasses responsibilities related to Stroke Ready program coordination. The role requires a minimum of one management shift every other week. Additional onsite or remote hours may be allocated based on operational needs and workload demands.

 

Qualifications

Minimum(s):

  • Current State of Minnesota RN license is required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • TNCC certification
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Department or ICU

Preferred(s):

  • 3+ years experience as lead or house supervisor
  • Prior experience in trauma program or stroke program coordination
  • Any of these certifications: 
    Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), or a stroke-specific certification such as Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN)
