RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

Full-time (.8 FTE) Occupational Therapist (OT)

 

Location: Hospital / outpatient; Crookston; potential for satellite clinic coverage
Position Status: .8 FTE (64 hours per pay period); Non-exempt subject to over-time

Schedule: 64 hours per two-week pay period; flexible scheduling available; includes weekend and holiday rotation

Pay Range: $34.47- 48.27 (based on experience)

 

RiverView Health is looking to hire a full-time (64 hours every 2 weeks) Occupational Therapist (OT). The OT will work as a member of our occupational therapy team to evaluate and treat patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings. The OT is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior.

Primary responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services and develop occupational therapy plans of care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals
  • Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
  • Provides guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
  • Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
  • Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
  • Effectively delegate tasks and supervise occupational therapist assistants as needed
  • Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards
  • Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

Qualifications

What are we looking for:

Minimum(s):

  • Current State of Minnesota license in Occupational Therapy or proactively in the process of the applying for current state licensure in Occupational Therapy. License must be in good standing. 
  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Therapy. 
  • Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not current training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 3 months from the date of hire or employment will be terminated. 

 

Preferred(s):

  • Master or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. 
  • 1+ years of Experience in a Rural or Critical Access Setting
  • 2+ years outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute rehab setting.
  • Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)
