RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

RiverView Health is looking to hire a full-time (64-80 hours every 2 weeks) Occupational Therapist (OT). The OT will work as a member of our occupational therapy team to provide treatment for patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings at our Crookston and East Grand Forks locations. Patient population opportunities include: pediatrics, functional cognition, hand therapy, occupational health, and medical/mobility equipment assessment and training. The OTR is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior. The position does include working a weekend/holiday rotation. Salary range is $31.34 - $43.89 and starting wage is dependent on experience. 

Primary responsibilities: 

• Evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services and develop occupational therapy plans of care
• Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals
• Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
• Provides guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
• Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
• Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
• Effectively delegate tasks and supervise occupational therapist assistants as needed
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
• Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards
• Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge

• Current State of Minnesota license in Occupational Therapy or proactively in the process of the applying for current state licensure in Occupational Therapy. License must be in good standing. 
• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy is required. 
• Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not current training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 3 months from the date of hire or employment will be terminated.
