RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

RiverView Health has an opening for a full-time (64 hours every 2 weeks) MRI Lead Technologist. The weekly Monday - Friday hours are typically between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and some extended coverage to 6:30 p.m. will be required. The position requires working every sixth weekend a scheduled shift covering CT/X-ray.  Salary range is $32.23 - $45.13 and starting wage is dependent on experience. Sign on bonus is available

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Ensures operation of MRI equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains MRI supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Prepares patient for MRI procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to obtain optimal images.
  • Maintains production and quality of MRI images by following established standards and procedures; processing images; observing MRI results; making necessary adjustments.
  • Under guidance of RiverView Radiologist Group, administers contrast agents according to RiverView site-specific protocols.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • Required: To be a graduate from an approved/accredited school for Radiologic Technology.
  • Required: To have American Heart BLS for Healthcare Providers and be CPR and AED certified.
  • Required: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T. (R) (ARRT)
  • Preferred: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists  (MR)

Experience

  • Required: Documented clinical experience and or on the Job Training
  • Preferred: One year as a registered working Radiologic Technologist
  • Preferred : One year as a working CT technologist
  • Preferred: One Years of MRI Experience
