RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

RiverView Health has a position open for a full-time (64 hours per pay period) Clinical Dietitian.The Clinical Dietitian will be responsible for the assessment and care of the nutritional needs of patients within the hospital, clinics and outpatient settings including the community wellness and medical home model of nutrition service delivery. The Clinical Dietitian will also develop and maintain quality improvement for those RiverView nutrition service lines as well as developing staff in-servicing relating to nutrition and therapeutic diets and teaching of RiverView sponsored classes and seminars. The Clinical Dietitian will participate in RiverView patient care committees’ and will serve as representative for RiverView on boards of community based service and activities as requested by their Leader. Salary range is $26.74 - $37.45 and starting wage is dependent on experience. Sign on bonus of $6,000+ depending on experience. 

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a major in food and nutrition.
  • Required: Valid State of Minnesota Registered Dietitian license.
  • Applicants will be registered by the American Dietetic Association or registry eligible by having completed one of the following:

                    Coordinated undergraduate program in dietetics

                   An approved dietetics internship

                   Master's or advanced degree

  • If not currently registered must be registered within 6 months of employment.
  • Preferred Certification in diabetic instruction.
  • Required: 1-2 years experience in assessment, teaching and Patient education in the outpatient clinical setting.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in assessment, teaching and Patient education in the acute setting.
