    RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.


    RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a 24 bed hospital attached memory care skilled nursing facility, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

    RiverView Health has an opening for a part-time (32 hours every 2 weeks) Patient Access Representative. The Patient Access Representative  will perform all duties related to the pre-registration, registration, and financial clearance processes for all patients. The Patient Access Representative will be scheduled in different clinical areas, dependent on needs for the day/week and will include weekend and holiday rotation. Patient Access Representative provides customer service to patients and orients patients to the registration process, communicates directly with patients and families, physicians, nurses, insurance companies and is responsible for collecting all pertinent data as well as applicable co-pays upon presentation.


    • Applicants will have a high school diploma or GED.
    • A minimum two(2) years of customer service experience is required.
    • Work experience in Patient Access and basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurances preferred.
    • Ability to manage and efficiently complete multiple tasks on time and work independently or as part of a team.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Critical thinker, resourceful and self-starter
    • Proficient in the use of PC’s.
