    RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

     

    RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a 24 bed hospital attached memory care skilled nursing facility, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

    Responsibilities

    RiverView Health has an opening for a full-time (80 hours every 2 weeks) Registered Pharmacist. The Pharmacy serves the Inpatient Department, Surgical Services Department, Infusion Center, ED, Nursing Home and on-site and outreach Clinics. The Pharmacist has a widening, diverse set of responsibilities. As an active member of the patient care team, the Pharmacist works to meets quality standards set by the Joint Commission, performs dosing and monitoring of anticoagulation outpatients, provides consultative service for the Nursing Home and a prescription service for patients discharged from the Inpatient Unit, ED, Outpatient Surgery, clinic, and the organization’s employees. Riverview strives to support a patient focused Pharmacist in developing optimal hospital Pharmacy, prescription service and nursing home consultative skills. Shifts are rotating 8 hours shifts, beginning at 7:00 a.m. or ending at 8:00 p.m.during the week. One weekend a month is expected from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on-call responsibilities are shared.

    Qualifications

    • Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited pharmacy school and have current or be eligible for licensure in Minnesota.
    • Candidates must be computer-literate and have strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
    • Current American Heart CPR and ACLS certifications are required. 
    • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
