RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

 

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a 24 bed hospital attached memory care skilled nursing facility, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

RiverView Health has an opening for a full-time (80hours every 2weeks) Anesthesia Manager to join our anesthesia and leadership team.

 

The Anesthesia Manager is responsible for the operation and management of the Anesthesia department and is accountable for quality outcomes, service growth, and fiscal management of the department and facilities financial resources.

 

The manager plans, directs and evaluates Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA’s) in providing anesthesia care to surgical and procedural patients in collaboration with the Anesthesia Medical Director. Assigns duties to and evaluates performance of department personnel; and assures physician’s orders and anesthesia protocols are followed. Identifies patient care opportunities for improvement and is accountable to performance improvement.

 

Aligns policies and procedures with AANA standards and clinical practice guidelines.

 

Also carries out clinical responsibilities; administers intravenous, regional, MAC and/or general anesthesia during surgical procedures, deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures; also providing life support measures during cardiac arrest and standby procedures in OB.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a school of Nurse Anesthesia approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the U.S. Department of Education required.
  • Current Minnesota RN and APRN license required.
  • Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists required.
  • Current America Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
  • NRP certification preferred.
  • Three years of CRNA experience required; previous leadership experience preferred.
