RiverView Health, is a community owned, membership based non-profit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston, MN.

 

RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a 24 bed hospital attached memory care skilled nursing facility, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities

The Cardiac Stress Lab Support Staff is clinically competent, licensed, professional of his/her discipline who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients through the process of cardiac stress tests. Effectively and professionally interacts with patients, family members, responsible party and other health care team members, while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior guidelines. Complies with regulatory standards of the Department of Health and any other professional guidelines or standards. This team member will schedule cardiac stress tests, complete all duties listed in the cardiac stress log sheet prior to scheduled test date, prepare patient for the cardiac stress test, perform cardiac stress tests according to the department policies and procedures, and document all stress tests completed.

  • Develops and implements prescribed plan of treatment and appropriate program goals in conjunction with other staff members.
  • Assists in review and development of program protocols, policies and procedures.
  • Assists with development, implementation, and tracking of quality and performance improvement programs.
  • Professional Growth: Attends meetings, workshops, seminars and participates in committees as requested/required by facility.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.          
  • Assists in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.        
  • Involved in furnishing and obtaining information.
  • Influence in areas of professional skills as well as personality.
  • Public relations occasionally involved.
  • Positive public image is expected.

Qualifications

  • Current American Heart BCLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Current MN RN license is required.
  • Experience in cardiac stress testing and acute cardiac care experience is preferred.
