RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, a 24 bed hospital attached memory care skilled nursing facility, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

RiverView Health has a full-time (80 hours per pay period) Clinic LPN opening for Family Practice. The LPN answers telephones, schedules appointments, assures patient appointments are scheduled according to patient needs, maintains an efficient flow of patients, routes calls, takes accurate and complete phone messages, prepares for patient visits, documents in OneChart all authorized medication refills and instructions given, completes all charting and documentation, sends all papers to be scanned to HIM, obtains patient’s conditions and takes appropriate action, assists with procedures or exams as needed according to established standards, administers medications according to established standards, demonstrates proficient computer skills, orders labs and x-rays per verbal order from Provider in OneChart, and obtains waiver forms as indicated, obtains chief complaints from patients, takes vital statistics as needed and records in chart, notifies appropriate personnel when physician will be out of the office, completes housekeeping tasks as needed for the department, demonstrates proficient skill in equipment used, provides appropriate education, and assists other clinic personnel as needed. Patients cared for include infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

He/She must accept and support Association Wide Policies and Procedures, Standards of Behavior and display a professional attitude in all aspects of his/her performance.

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible to the Clinical Director and will be assigned other duties as needed. Salary range is $16.63 - $23.29 and starting wage is dependent on experience.


Primary Responsibilities

·       Maintains an efficient flow of patients

·       Prepares patient for exams

·       Assists with procedures and examinations

·       Administration of medications / vaccines

·       Demonstrates proficient computer skills

·       Schedules lab and x-rays

·       Completes all charting and documentation


Other Responsibilities

·       Takes phone messages

·       Assures patient appointments are scheduled according to patients’ needs

·       Obtains release forms and makes appropriate referrals as ordered by Providers

·       Notifies necessary personnel when physician will be out of office

·       Assists other clinic personnel as needed

·       Completes housekeeping tasks as needed for the department



  • Applicants must have a current Licensed Practical Nurse License by Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • Applicants must have a current American Heart CPR certification.
  • Clinic Nursing experience preferred.
